Community gardening at the James Family Prescott YMCA

Presented by Beltone – A leader in audience Health care.

The James Family Prescott YMCA has a community garden that you can enjoy during the summer.

Gardening friends, experienced or eager to learn gardening, the YMCA Community Garden in Prescott has twelve 10×10 flower beds available for the 2020 growing season.

Doesn’t a juicy tomato or fresh green beans sound good? How about growing your favorite peppers? The cost is $50.00 per plot and includes daily irrigation in each bed, garden tools for use on site, and 4 inches of mulch which we add annually. There are fences around the gardens to keep our local critters out and master gardeners are on hand to help our beginners.

Rachelle Skvarek, Associate Director, said, “It’s not too late to plant a summer garden, just give us a call so you can enjoy the tasty fruits (or vegetables) of your labor.” “Never underestimate the power of a quiet moment in the garden!”
